Our Vision

yoga as education, innovation, and care.

Estuary Yoga Space is a place to foster compassion, courage, and steadiness within ourselves and with the world around us.

Yoga is a practice and a lineage of connection - present moment awareness linking past to future, individual to whole, the intangible to the physical. The postures we make, the breaths we take, the transitions, triumphs and challenges on the mat are all teachers, helping us grow increasingly conscientious in how we shape our lives.

Yes, we may feel physically stronger, more open.
Yes, we may become mentally more awake and steady.
Yes, we may feel more connected to soul, to Self.
And yes, we will inevitably meet parts of ourselves which feel uncomfortable.

This place of not-yet-known is the part where practice and transformation can be most potent.

It reminds us to ask important questions, to re-learn and un-learn amidst the movement of a changing world. These enquiries span beyond our own lifetimes, and into the wealth and nourishment of all living beings.

What brings joy? What releases that which walls us from deep, loving connection? What kind of custodians are we, in tending to what has been given? What kind of ancestors do we wish to become for the next generation, and the generations to come?

When we come together for practice in community, it is a reminder that we are all in belonging, within our individual bodies, and as part of this Earth. That we all hold a place of dignity and responsibility.

As we become more Courageous, open-hearted and discerning leaders in our own bodies, our own lives, we gain greater power to live authentically and collaboratively in the world we share.

Let us journey together, in creating a world we would all benefit from, one breath, one movement, one day at a time.
