Kara Mandel

Kara is an artist and yogi devoted to conscious expression and movement. What began for her as a therapeutic physical yoga practice 14 years ago has evolved into a platform of self-inquiry and a union between the inner and outer landscapes of her world. Her practice encourages students to examine their current states and find their own sweet spot by balancing strength and flexibility, in both the body and mind.

Her teachings place an emphasis on exploring boundaries, as well as building endurance and compassion throughout the whole body. She is known for her tender, explorative teaching style, coaxing students to feel at home in their bodies, to soften and to connect from a place of patience and curiosity.

Kara completed her 200 hour YTT at PachaMama Eco-village in Costa Rica. During this transformative experience, she trained in a unique fusion of Hatha yoga and Shaolin energetic arts with her teachers Velan and Adya. Kara has also studied meditation and Yogic Philosophy with Dr. Keshava Murthy at Sarvaguna Yoga Dhaama in Dharamsala, India. It is with immense gratitude that she continues to share these teachings across Melbourne.

Keigo Kariyan

Drawing on his years living at a monastery, steeped in the ancient tradition of Zen, Keigo offers a steady yoga practice, led with balance, intention and a meditative approach.

Having been guided in life by the hands of gratitude and reverence, a lens that opens up his awareness to the richness and precarious nature of existence, he offers this sacred union back to the students. After feeling reconnected to your body and breath Keigo encourages each practitioner to continue cultivating an awakened mind well beyond the mat.

Keigo first approached yoga, over a decade ago, to prepare his body for long sits in the zendo and now further studies the practice as a way of life. His deepest purpose is to help shape the education of team sports with yogic and spiritual awareness.

Keigo completed his teacher training at Australian Yoga Academy (350hr), and continues to learn and grow through his mentors and teachers with the sincerest respect and appreciation: Hogen and Chozen Bays, Andrew and Lucy Lawes.

TEACHING SCHEDULE

Tony Dennis

Tony has been practising yoga for over 25 years, and teaching for over a decade, both in the Northern Rivers and India. His practice is steeped in various traditions, including Iyengar, Shadow, Ashtanga, and Akhanda Yoga. Since 2018, Tony has assisted in teacher training programs in Australia and internationally.

Tony brings a sense of calm and steadiness to his teaching, and is deeply sincere in sharing the many roots from which his practice draws. His classes are slow, strong, and intentionally crafted — inviting students into a more subtle and embodied relationship with themselves. With a strong focus on pranayama and the energetics of yoga, Tony guides students toward an internal experience of balance, presence, and integration.

Grounded in tradition yet highly accessible, his teaching invites a return to the essence of yoga: breath, attention, and the deep intelligence of the body. His presence in the room is calm but powerful, creating a space that feels both spacious and sacred.
